Where Florida consumers shop for Marketplace coverage

Florida residents use the federally facilitated Health Insurance Marketplace for ACA coverage. You can review official Marketplace information through HealthCare.gov or use Sentium Health’s HealthSherpa link to compare available plans and continue through a secure enrollment process.

Availability, premiums, provider networks, prescriptions, and potential savings vary by county and household. Entering accurate household and projected annual income information is important because the Marketplace makes the final eligibility determination.

When you can enroll

Open Enrollment begins November 1 for coverage for the following year. Outside Open Enrollment, certain life events may qualify you for a Special Enrollment Period, including loss of qualifying coverage, marriage, birth or adoption, or some permanent moves.

Prepare before applying: gather household information, projected annual income, current coverage details, preferred doctors, and prescriptions. The Marketplace may request documentation.
